farmer's market + a beautiful spring like day

One of my favorite pleasures is go to the farmer's market on beautiful, breezy Saturdays. The market never fails to deliver fresh produce with the cheapest prices...$1 for 10 limes, $.50 pineapples, etc. I've been to Haymarket for the last 2 yrs. and am always still in awe at the selections + prices.

Latest finds: seabass for $3/lb and an enormous bag of spring mix  for $3. We've never been brave enough to buy seafood at the market but couldn't resist trying the seabass. We consumed our daily finds for dinner...

spring mix salad w/ english cukes, tomatoes, + bosc pears

raspberry pomegranate vinaigerette + homemade basalmic vinaigerette

steamed seabass in soy sauce topped w/ fresh julienne ginger, cinlantro, + scallions.

next time, we'll try roast seabass!
