sunday tea.

There is something about drinking tea that is very calming and zenful.

My favorite part of the day during the colder season is sipping on a cup of tea after a long day of work. I started a collection of about 5 flavors of Teavana tea but failed to expand it since. Eventually, I will have a tea shelf where I can display all my favorite flavors from the brand. To visit Teavana, click here.

Although spring has arrived, the weather outside is still a little nippy- an almost perfect  tea time, especially on lazy Sundays.

fort point channel.

The bridge + harborwalk was fairly calm and desolate over the fort point channel during sunset. Perhaps because the weather was chillier than it was a few days ago. It was the perfect time to capture the stillness of the area.

Most of the bustling, if any, were from cars passing over the bridges.

cherry blossoms

Cherry blossoms (aka Sakura)- the epitome of simple, delicate, + breath taking florals. I am lucky enough to live in a place where I can witness the short lived blossoms in the spring.

I surrounded my bedroom w/ them. They're the last things I see before the lights turn off + the first things I see when the morning lights shine through.

these have pinkish petals but there are also white ones, known as Yoshino

Living in the moment- until they vanish in about a week or so + I will have to wait long (impatiently) until next spring to see them come to life again.

typical saturday.

I love Saturdays, especially during the warmer months. It is the one day of the week where I am truly worry free and the only things that boggle my mind are what to buy at the market, deciding on paint colors for the current renovation project, shoe bargain hunting, etc.

oscar de la renta shades- a must for city strutting.

be green. recyclable totes are so versatile. I often use these during my weekly weekend run to Haymarket.

I am semi-obsessed with sofft shoes. they are a staple in my shoe collection for city striding. their leather is super soft. I snatched 4 pairs from their '10 spring collection today. to view their website click here.

my husband made an awesome dinner w/ the seabass and the bosc pears bought from Haymarket earlier during the day. roasted seabass with puree carrots. side dish- sauteed bosc pears in butter + plum wine.
